FastTrack Partner Center Experiences FAQ

(Formerly known as FastTrack Centered UX (FCU)

Q: I can’t access the Partner Center FastTrack Insights.
A: Users are required to have the Report Viewer or Executive Report Viewer role to access Partner Center FastTrack Insights which is hosted in the Insights section of Partner Center.

To verify Report Viewer or Executive Report Viewer role assignment:

  • Go to partnercenter.microsoft.com.
  • Select Sign In (top right).
  • Once authenticated, select the Dashboard button.
  • Select the Settings icon (gear icon – top right) and then Account Settings.
  • Select User Management and then Search for your account or the account in question.
  • Open the account details, by selecting the user in question.

  • Confirm the View data and reports for one or more locations (select the locations where the user needs to be able to view data and reports) is checked.
    • The user can have access to the Entire Organization or to specific locations by filtering on specific MPNs.
    • If filtered by MPN instead of Entire Organization, only tenants claimed using these MPNs will be visible. Some partners may want to segment which tenants their users see in Partner Center FastTrack Insights. This can be achieved by only granting access to the user for their respective MPN locations.
    • Confirm the Report Viewer or Executive report viewer role is selected in the drop down.

Q: I don't see any tenants when logging into the Partner Center FastTrack Insights.
A: This will happen when logging into a different tenant than where the CPOR claims were submitted. If you use multiple accounts use the account where claims were submitted.

Q: I see my tenant list in Partner Center FastTrack Insights but I don’t see any tenant data when clicking the tenant name.
A: When onboarding into the FRP program, a TenantID was provided that allowed access for accounts in that tenant to access FTOP. While the interface is in the Partner Center FastTrack Insights, it still uses permissions to access FTOP data. We may need to update the TenantID used for FRP to allow access to the FTOP tenant details. Open a ticket at aka.ms/FRPHelp and include the account previously used for FTOP access as well as the account you’re using to access the Partner Center FastTrack Insights.

Q: I see “An error occurred while fetching data, please refresh the page and retry” when clicking the tenant name in the Partner Center FastTrack Insights.
A: The two most common reasons for this error are:

  • If this happens for all tenants, it’s likely that the account the user is logged in with has not been onboarded into the FRP program. See answer for the question above for more details.
  • If this happens for a specific tenant(s), the tenant(s) likely does not exist in FTOP. If the tenant has less than 150 licenses of a FastTrack Eligible plan, this is expected. If the tenant has more than 150 licenses of a FastTrack Eligible plan, please open a ticket at FRP Partner Support tool with the TenantID and workload in question.

Q: How do I assign Partner FMs/FEs?
A: Partners are no longer required to add a partner FM/FE assignment before editing. This step is no longer necessary.

Q: Where do I submit Partner Center FastTrack Insights related support tickets?
A: If it's an issue with the Partner Center FastTrack Insights itself, FRPs should continue to open support tickets using FRP Partner Support tool.

Q: Where can I find the TenantID of a tenant in the Partner Center FastTrack Insights?
A: When clicking the Tenant Name, the TenantID is located at the top of the tenant details page.
