With the goal of EOM to have MAM policies in use, can we eliminate the need for Intune and Exchange claims.  The effort to get a client to implement MAM is above and beyond Intune or EXO and requires additional focused effort.  In many cases we may not have claims for EXO or Intune with a client. For example, when we migrated to CPOR under our new FPM's guidance we didn't migrate any Exchange claims past 40% so as it is, there is no gain to us to pursue EOM with those clients.  Another example is we have clients that had an initial FRP and our now working with us.  While they have passed 40% in Intune, they are not using MAM.  My ask is to simplify this claim so we can focus on having a MAM policy put in place.  Why does it need to include the other claims which already have payouts.  Can we just be paid for meeting the EOM requirements without the other claims?

  • Or allow claiming after milestones have been already passed if that is required to make the mechanics work.  I have found this claim challenging and as a result mostly ignored it.  It took a number of tries with various managers we have had to get clarity.  It is unfortunate as this is a valuable feature.
  • Hi Dave, While the customer does need to have both Exchange and Intune implemented , you (the partner) do not have to have either of those claimed in order to receive incentives for OLM MAM.  You ONLY need to claim Exchange: Outlook Mobile.  If someone else is driving Exchange and has implemented Intune, then you could go in with just OLM claimed and implement a protection policy to earn the incentives.

  • I do believe in order to receive the incentive for OLM the FRP must have EXO, Intune & OLM w/ CPOR approval prior to the customer reaching the threshold in any of the afore mentioned workloads. If they have already crossed the threshold in any one of the three before the OLM claim is approved, the incentive is not available.
In addition, in order to receive the incentive, OLM has to be set as a protected app in IAP.  Plus, then..... OLM must cross the AU milestones.
Please correct me if I have that process wrong.
  • Per our T&Cs, Amanda is correct in that the customer must have EXO and Intune implemented and partner does not have to have those workloads claimed. As long as the Exchange: Outlook Mobile is claimed and meet the eligibility guidance, partner should be eligible for OLM-MAM FRP only incentive.

For reference, below is the OLM incentive eligibility from FY21 FastTrack Ready Partner Program Guide (https://aka.ms/fasttrackpartnerterms):

Onboarding Incentive: To earn the Onboarding Incentive, Program Partners are required have an approved CPOR claim for OLM and obtain a minimum of 15% active entitlements of “Outlook Mobile Managed by Intune App Protection” for each Eligible Customer with whom partner engages under the Program. Eligible Customers must have less than 10% active entitlements on the last day of the previous calendar month that the claim is submitted for the incentive eligible workload(s) to qualify for this incentive.
Adoption Incentive: To earn the Adoption Incentive, Program Partners are required have an approved CPOR claim for OLM and obtain a minimum of 40% active entitlements of “Outlook Mobile Managed by Intune App Protection” for each Eligible Customer with whom partner engages under the Program. Eligible Customers must have less than 20% active entitlements on the last day of the previous calendar month that the claim is submitted for the incentive eligible workload(s) to qualify for this incentive.
